Aims: To conduct an independent research project under the supervision of an expert in their chosen topic area. They will gain first-hand experience in data acquisition, analysis, and scientific communication, with opportunities to develop advanced laboratory and/or fieldwork skills.

Employ ethical and respectful working practices with research participants, external stakeholders, peers, other researchers and technicians 3. Use information and health technologies appropriate for sport and exercise science in data collection, analysis, and communication of research results 4. Produce a final research project report and defend this orally

Content: Students will conduct the individual research project they designed in the penultimate year, including data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of the findings. There will be a series of optional activities, which will cover important aspects of research management, implementation, dissemination and translation (e.g., literature searching, data analysis, public engagement, impact, entrepreneurship). Students will have to attend a minimum of four from six optional sessions depending on the nature of their research and personal needs.
