Requisites:
Learning Outcomes: �Explain and apply the scientific principles of training (e.g. specificity, overload, progression and variation) to improve sporting performance. �Evaluate the use of a needs analysis tool in a strength and conditioning context. �Critically analyse a range of tools that can be used to monitor training and performance.


Synopsis: Develop an understanding of the scientific principles, concepts and theories related to strength and conditioning training.

Content: Fundamentals of human movement; Movement screening and needs analysis; Principles of effective training; Physical and motor fitness components of performance; Warm ups and priming exercise; Hypertrophy and strength training; Speed and power training; Monitoring training and performance.
