| Learning Outcomes: |
- Analyse internal joint moments using inverse dynamics analysis
- Critique the assumptions made within inverse dynamics analysis and assess the influence upon joint moment calculations
- Evaluate the sources of error in biomechanical measurements and appraise the influence of data smoothing on output variables

| Aims: | To evaluate and apply advanced biomechanical methods and integrate different biomechanical data to analyse how motion is produced.
|
| Content: | - The theory, practical considerations and limitations of inverse dynamics analysis.
- Sources of error in biomechanical data, smoothing techniques and their influence on subsequent kinematic or kinetic calculations.
- Methods for the estimation of body segment inertia parameters (mass, centre of mass and moment of inertia) and their influence on biomechanical calculations.
