| Aims: | The aim of this unit is to examine, at an advanced and specialised level, key issues, concepts, debates, methods, and career pathways in the sociology of sport and health.

| Content: | Theory and key concepts in the sociology of sport and health (e.g., feminism, critical theory, poststructuralism, identity, intersectionality, affect, stigma, marginalisation); sociology of sport and health research and scholarship; sociology of the body; physical activity, health, and digital technology; inclusivity, equality, and power; political economy; sport policy; contemporary issues and case studies in the sociology of sport and health; sociology of sport and health career and study pathways.
