Appraise both conventional and more advanced techniques to analyse human movement
Critically analyse, synthesise and discuss scientific literature on variability within human movement
Systematically and creatively apply biomechanical techniques to assess human movement


Aims: To develop knowledge of, and the ability to use, advanced methods for the assessment of human movement. To use the outcomes of these advanced methods to synthesise information and demonstrate critical awareness of the complex issues within human movement

Learning outcomes: 1. Appraise both conventional and more advanced techniques to analyse human movement 2. Critically analyse, synthesise and discuss scientific literature on variability within human movement 3. Systematically and creatively apply biomechanical techniques to assess human movement 4. Content: Contemporary issues in the analysis of motor skills Variability within human movement Coordination of joints / segments to analyse motor skills Dynamic balance / stability within human movement
