At the end of this unit, students will be able to:
- Undertake investment appraisal using a variety of methods.
- Demonstrate understanding of a range of financial instruments, when they might be used and drivers of value.
- Understand the principles and uses of options, futures and forward contracts.

| Synopsis: | "Building on foundational finance courses, you will further develop your understanding by undertaking more advanced investment appraisals using a variety of methods. You will also explore a variety of financial instruments, why they are used and what the drivers of value are.
You will also be introduced to derivatives and their use in risk management. "
