Content: The unit covers a set of distinct approaches to the notion of corporate responsibility - from rights-based approaches, to consequentialist ethics; from sustainability to perspectives grounded in corporate reputation; from meeting accepted standards to taking care of stakeholders. Furthermore, the unit emphasises the practical application of these varied principles of corporate responsibility. The aim is to assemble a toolkit that facilitates the evaluation of corporate actions and impacts in a rigorously informative manner. The law element covers the framework of law, essential business contracts and non-contractual liability such as negligence.
