Requisites:
Learning Outcomes: Successful completion of this unit will allow students to understand how insights into decision problems can be gained by applying appropriate methods to collect and analyse data. A key feature of the unit will be the development of critical skills which will allow students to assess the strength and limitations of quantitative analyses presented to them.


Aims: This unit aims to show how informed management decision making can be supported by the collection and analysis of relevant data.

Content: Methods for collecting data.
Descriptive statistics and exploratory data analysis
Assessing risk.
Interpreting data from samples: inferential statistics.
Correlation and regression models.
