At the end of this unit, students will be able to:

Synopsis: | Apply what you have learned in the first two semesters by working on your own or in teams to launch a retail venture. You will develop a business plan and pitch for seed money, purchase stock, market, and run your business over a six-week period.
Through active problem solving and decision making, you have the opportunity to develop such skills as:

Content: | The unit is intended to allow students to conduct team projects applying the skills, concepts, and techniques acquired in the taught programme to running their own retailing start-up.
1. The group project element will be the pitching and running of the start-up.
2. A self-managed project whereby students are required to reflect on the links between their team experiences, the retailing academic theory from semesters one and two, and on the impact of the experience on their personal development.
