Synopsis: Work in teams to tackle a social issue in a real-world setting. You'll get the opportunity to apply some of the concepts, techniques and skills acquired during your course. It will also allow you to take part in entrepreneurial activities, plan a practical activity and develop an understanding of social issues in management.

Content: The unit employs a pedagogy of experiential learning centred around group projects. You will be working in teams to plan and implement a practical activity aimed at addressing a social issue in a real-world context. Group projects are facilitated through a combination of:
  • Lectures which will provide foundational information and knowledge related to social entrepreneurship and the planning and implementation of practical collaborative projects.
  • Seminars and consultations at which teams will be providing updates on their project progress and receiving formative feedback at key stages of the unit.
