Synopsis: | Develop your knowledge of Spanish-speaking economies and firms in the global economic context.
You will explore and debate topics such as:
- Globalisation
- Economic and financial crises
- Foreign direct investments
- Trade agreements
- Tourism
- The employment market
- Models of economic development
This approach will develop your skills in critical analysis, conceptual thinking, independent judgement and reasoned argument. |
Content: | This unit will:
- Explore the impact of international powers and economic trends on national and regional development.
- Develop an understanding of the role that national sectors or firms play in international settings.
- Analyse the impact and reaction to globalisation.
- Examine the nature and impact of economic processes specific to Spain and Latin America.
- Develop an understanding of economic processes and their link to political and social development.
