By the time of completing the dissertation, you will:
- Critically engage with the skills required to pursue independent learning, with limited supervision
- Critically examine the role that primary research plays in the chosen field of study and/or
- Develop a level of conceptual, methodological, and theoretical analysis commensurate with a Masters level degree
- Critically examine the literature that underpins the topic of your choice
- Assess the value of time-management for conducting research projects

| Synopsis: | The dissertation is your opportunity to apply and extend the skills developed during your taught units.
You'll develop a coherent research question that addresses a topic related to European studies which interests you. This question should allow you to demonstrate your understanding of relevant theories and practices in the field of European studies.
Throughout your dissertation unit, you will receive assistance from a designated academic supervisor.
