Synopsis: | Learn about and understand the professional context of working in the field of clinical psychology and begin to develop relevant professional skills.
Discover career pathways open to graduates with a foundation knowledge in clinical psychology and be supported to develop a personal development plan in line with your aspirations. |
Content: | You will have the opportunity to engage with your own personal development, synthesising knowledge from a variety of sources to set out goals and plans for personal development aligned with career aspirations.
Teaching activities will include presentations and discussions with external speakers, and include introduction to professional skills such as reflective practice, ethics, boundaries, self-care and stress management, and working collaboratively and with service users.
You will engage in structured reflection on your learning, performance and skills development. There will also be a focus on practical, relevant, work-based skills.
The assessment will mirror continuing professional development activities in the modern healthcare workplace. |
