At the end of this unit, the student will/be able to:
1. Explain the development and progress of different disorders.
2. Differentiate the microscopic structure of different tissues and perform chemical biology analyses. |
Synopsis: | You will explore the underlying pathology of diseases affecting physiological systems and develop an understanding of the aetiology of various disease states (e.g. neoplasia and endocrine disorders).
You will conduct microscopic examination of healthy and diseased tissues. |
Content: | Overview of pathogenic agents and effects; exemplars include Neoplasia; Endocrine disorders; Skin disorders; NC3Rs in research;
Practical examination of tissues and assays of cellular function. |
