Synopsis: Gain an overview of the legislative and theoretical frameworks of anti-oppressive practice, focusing on social work core values of equalities and diversity. Studying this unit alongside your placement enables you to apply social work theories that promote social justice to challenge stigma, discrimination and oppression and to empower service users and carers and promote equality.

* Social work practice with children and young people, older adults and disability
* Mental health and stigma
