BSc International Management and Modern Languages Welcome Week timetable

During Welcome Week 2024 you must attend department and central Welcome Week events which will help you settle into University life.


Timetable

Arrivals Weekend is from Friday 20 September to Sunday 22 September 2024.

Welcome Week runs from Monday 23 September to Friday 27 September 2024.

University Life

You must attend a University Life session taking place over arrivals weekend. Find your University Life time slot. It’s important that you attend this.

  • IMML = International Management and Modern Languages
  • IPML = International Politics and Modern Languages
  • PwE = Politics with Economics
  • PIR = Politics with International Relations

Monday 23 September

12.15pm 1.05pm Departing from School of Management Building 10 East 0.17 Campus Tour
3.15pm 4.30pm School of Management Building 10 East Level 0 Pavillion International Student Mixer
6.00pm 7.30pm School of Management Building 10 East Level 0 Pavillion Freshers' Quiz Night. This is an optional activity.

Tuesday 24 September

11.15am 1.05pm 8 West 2.1 Department of Politics, Languages and International Studies Welcome: Head of Department Welcome followed by Director of Studies Welcome
2.15pm 3.05pm Online on Zoom Never OK: Understand the community of the University of Bath, and how you can be an active bystander and promote equality.

Wednesday 25 September

Start Finish Location Description
10.15am 11.05am To be confirmed Meet Your Academic Adviser (from Department of Politics, Languages and International Studies). Please look out for an email to confirm place and time.
11.15am 1.05pm Chancellors' Building 1.12 Insights talk with Student Experience Officer for IMML and current students.
1.15pm 2.05pm The Parade The SU Sports Day: Use this free time to meet the sports clubs and teams and find out how to join. This is an optional activity.

Thursday 26 September

10.15am 1.05pm Multiple venues The Big Team Challenge (Students will be allocated to one of the three sessions Thursday/Friday TBC)
1.15pm 2.05pm The Parade The SU Groups Day: Find out about all of the Student groups on offer and how to get involved. This is an optional activity
1.15pm 2.05pm Chancellors' Building 3.5 French Briefing for IMML, IPML, and ML
2.15pm 3.05pm Chancellors' Building 3.5 Spanish Briefing for IMML, IPML, and ML
2.15pm 5.05pm Multiple venues The Big Team Challenge (Students will be allocated to one of the three sessions Thursday/Friday TBC)
3.15pm 4.05pm Chancellors' Building 3.5 German Briefing for IMML, IPML, and ML

Friday 27 September

1.15pm 2.05pm Founders' Hall The SU Freshers Fair: Use this free time to explore what's on offer at the University and in Bath and pick up some freebies. This is an optional activity.

The Students' Union also runs optional Freshers' Week activities you might be interested in.
