Find out how to apply for a taught postgraduate course.
After you submit your application and supporting information, you should receive a decision within six weeks.
You need to accept your offer to study at Bath within four weeks of receiving it.

First scholarship application deadline
This deadline is for the main faculty scholarships and the School of Management scholarships.
MBA scholarships have different deadlines.
Apply before this date for a decision by 28 February 2025.
You must have an offer for an eligible master's course before you can apply for a scholarship.
March 2025

Accommodation applications open
You can apply for University accommodation from 12 March. You must apply before 1 July to guarantee your place.
You must have an offer for a master's course and have accepted before you can apply for accommodation.
April 2025
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies
We’ll contact you about your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) if you:
- applied from outside the UK
- need a visa to study at Bath
- have met your offer conditions
Make sure you meet your offer conditions as early as possible to give yourself time to get your CAS and apply for your visa.

Second scholarship application deadline
This deadline is for the main faculty scholarships and the School of Management scholarships.
This is the final deadline for School of Management scholarships.
MBA scholarships have different deadlines.
Apply by this date for a decision by 9 May 2025.

Apply by 2 June to be considered for a place on the 10-week Pre-sessional English course.
You must have an offer for a master's course before you can apply for a Pre-sessional course.

If you're an Overseas student, you must apply for your course before 31 July 2025.

Academic Technology Approval Scheme certificate application deadline
Apply for your Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate before 31 July if you’re an Overseas student and need one for your course.

The 5-week Pre-sessional English course starts.

Home application deadline for courses starting in 2025
If you're a Home student, you must apply for your course before 31 August 2025.
Deadline to meet the conditions of your offer
You should tell us you’ve met the conditions of your offer before 31 August 2025. If you need a visa to study at Bath, make sure you meet your conditions early enough to allow yourself time to get your CAS and apply for your visa.
September 2025
University registration opens
We’ll send you an email inviting you to register with the University. Before you can register you must:
- accept your offer of a place and pay your deposit if required
- meet the conditions of entry for your course
- upload a copy of your visa if you need one to study in the UK

Welcome Week
Welcome Week and Freshers’ Week on the University campus.
We'll send you more information about Welcome Week and Freshers' Week before they start.
29 September
Teaching begins.
