  • Overview of High Performance Computing
  • Part-1: HPC Funding, Agresso and the RCAM portal
  • Part-2: Introduction to Nimbus
    • Compute Options
    • Accessing Nimbus, File System, Software Environment
    • Submitting and Monitoring Jobs
  • Part-3: Hands-on Labs Session
  • Q&A

Prerequisites

  • To prepare for the meeting please familiarise yourself with the Unix Shell, self guided training material can be found here. Other Nimbus training material can be found on our website.
  • To be able to submit jobs to Nimbus and participate in the training you must have an account on Nimbus. Please contact your departmental research computing champion to request an account with some funding from the departmental budget.
