SAMBa’s 6th ‘Where’s the Maths?’ event will take place on 16th March and gives academics who are not in the Department of Mathematical Sciences a chance to describe research challenges where they believe collaboration with SAMBa and/or the Department would be valuable.
Each presenter has 1 slide and 3 minutes to describe a challenge that they believe mathematical sciences research can help address. Presentations are delivered in quick succession with no questions! But this is just the start and a way to introduce the challenges you have. After the presentations, we will provide refreshments and there will be a chance to chat to each other more informally and explore ideas amongst yourselves.
Ideally the connections made at this meeting will lead to future collaborative research projects. At the very least, it is a chance to meet some new people, find out some more about SAMBa, and seek out new opportunities!
We have space for 20 presenters and a further 40 attendees. Please register your interest to participate as a speaker or audience member via the email address below.
