Skills for Success tutorials
We offer 25-minute in-person 1:1 tutorials in the Skills Zone (6E 2.8) to help you with any academic skills you want to develop, at any stage of your studies.
Some online 1:1 tutorials are also available.
Tutors will give you constructive and practical suggestions to will help you succeed in your coursework and assessments. There is no requirement for you to upload a piece of work in advance of either an in-person or online tutorial. Booking is required on MySkills.
Email Feedback on Writing
In addition to booking a tutorial, you can also request feedback on a piece of writing by email.
The writing tutor will send you their feedback within three working days.
Advance booking is required on MySkills. Please upload a draft of your work when you book an appointment and provide details of the assignment, if applicable.
Self-access resources
You can access various online resources to develop your writing skills in your own time.
For example, a series of Lunchtime Learning resources aim to enhance your writing skills in just 15 minutes.
