Ceremony dates

Graduation ceremonies will take place from Monday 14 - Friday 18 July 2025.

The ceremony dates and times can be found on the ceremony timings page. Each ceremony will last approximately an hour.

A drinks reception will take place after each ceremony at Bath Recreation Ground.

Procession registration

Gowns for staff taking part in processions will be provided by Graduation Attire.

All academic staff will receive an email in April with details of how to register for the ceremony and book their gown.

When staff register for their ceremony on the Graduation Attire website they will be asked to confirm their gown details.

Only those registered for the ceremony on the Graduation Attire system can take part in the procession.

A briefing document providing more details such as when to arrive will be emailed to all those registered to take part in the processions.

Staff tickets

For staff that want to attend a ceremony but not take part in the academic procession, there are limited seats available in the audience.

Venues

All ceremonies will take place in Bath Abbey.

Staff gowning will take place in the Learning Centre which is within the Abbey grounds.

Receptions will be held at the Bath Recreation Ground. The timings can be found here

Gradates will be invited to their reception as part of the ceremony registration process. Staff are also welcome to attend and should confirm attendance to Gemma Noyce using the link sent out via email in April.

The ceremonies will be live streamed to Komedia and online. The link will appear on the main Graduation Ceremonies web page during ceremony week.

Honorary graduates

Honorary degrees will be awarded at one or two ceremonies per day.
