Depression

What you can do if you feel low.

If you are feeling very low or think that you might be depressed, then speaking to your doctor is a good starting point. They will be able to help talk you through the benefits of talking therapies and medication in helping you cope.

What can you do to help

While clinical depression can be debilitating small deliberate actions can still help you feel like you can manage better. Research shows that simple actions such as heading outside into fresh air soon after you wake up is beneficial. Think about your sleep hygiene and what could be improved, what you eat and drink can also make a difference.
