There are a variety of different Careers staff that you can speak to. All our staff can help all students and graduates but they do have different areas of expertise.

Information Team

Staffing our front desk, email and phone line, the Information Team are usually the first people you will speak to when you contact Careers. As expert information specialists, they can:

  • provide personalised information
  • give advice on common careers questions
  • recommend valuable career resources or online tools
  • help you with your job search

If you're unsure what kind of support you need, the Information Team can advise on the different ways we can help and recommend the most appropriate option.

Applications Advisers

As the name suggests, our Applications Advisers are experts in all things applications. They can help with feedback on your CVs, applications for jobs or further study and LinkedIn profiles. View their profiles:

Careers Consultants

Our Careers Consultants can offer in-depth, one-on-one guidance to help you explore career options, clarify your goals, and cultivate the skills needed to succeed. They can provide tailored advice and action plans whether you're unsure about your future direction or need to clarify your thinking.

Careers Consultants can help all students and graduates. However, they each cover a Faculty/School and have other areas of specialty. You can get to know them from their profiles below:

  • Aste Dahl, lead consultant for School of Management with specialism in international student support
  • Hannah Kirby, lead consultant for Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Student Employability Coaches

Our Student Employability Coaches are trained students who can provide application feedback and support our Information Team on the desk in the Careers Centre.

Employer Engagement Team

Our Employer Engagement Team work with employers targeting Bath. They organise our events and Fairs programme so you might meet them if you come to any of our events.
