Removing old printers and Pharos Pop-up from your Windows 11 computer 

Learn how to remove the old University Print Service printers, ‘UPS1’ and ‘UPS2’, and the Pharos Pop-up app, from your own Windows 11 computer.

Removing the printers

  1. From the Windows Start menu, select ’Settings’, or press the Windows and I  keys together. 
  2. Select ’Bluetooth & devices’ from the left-hand sidebar. 
  3. Select ‘Printers & scanners’ from the pane on the right.  A screenshot of the Bluetooth & devices menu
  4. Select the printer in the device list. 
  5. Select ’Remove' in the top right-hand corner of the page.  A screenshot to show how to remove the printer

Removing the Pharos Pop-up app

  1. From the Windows Start menu, select ’Settings’, or press the Windows and I keys together. 
  2. Select ‘Apps’ from the left-hand sidebar, then select ‘Installed apps’. 
  3. Select ‘Pharos’ from the list of ‘Installed apps’ and select ‘Uninstall’. A screenshot showing the uninstall button
  4. In the ‘Select Option', select ‘Run Uninstaller’ then ‘Next’. A screenshot of the uninstaller window
  5. In the ‘Pharos Uninstallation’ window, select ‘Next’.

  6. In the ‘Select Components’ window, select ‘Pharos Popups’ then ‘Next’. A screenshot of the Pharos Popups window
  7. When the ‘Pharos Directory’ window appears, select ‘Next’.

  8. In the ‘Start Uninstallation' window, select ‘Start’.

  9. When the uninstallation has completed, select ‘Finish’.
