Setting print options on a University-owned Windows desktop computer

Learn how to set print options when printing from a University-owned Windows computer.

The print options are the same as they were for the old UPS1 and UPS2 print queues, but they are arranged differently in the ‘Print1’ and ‘Print2’ queues.

Setting up the print options

  1. When you print a document, select ‘Properties’ in the print dialog window. Where this is located depends on the application you are printing from. A screenshot showing the 'Properties' button
  2. Select whether to print on both sides of the paper in the ‘Layout’ tab. A screenshot showing the 'Print on Both sides' option
  3. Select whether to print in black and white or colour in the ‘Paper/Quality‘ tab. A screenshot showing the colour printing options
  4. To select whether to have the pages stapled, select the Advanced button.
