Before setting up your device or printing, make sure you connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network or you connect to the VPN.

Setting your default printer

  1. Open the ‘Start’ menu.
  2. Select ‘Devices and Printers’.
  3. Select either 'Print 1' or 'Print 2'.
  4. Select ‘Set as default printer'.

Windows 10 users may only see either 'Print 1' or 'Print 2' listed in the 'Printers and Scanners' window. This is due to the way Windows displays multiple printers using the same port.

Both print options are there and can be seen by selecting whichever option is visible in the list. This will prompt a dropdown menu where you can select either 'Print 1' or 'Print 2'.

Print settings

The University's default setting for all printing is black and white, double-sided.

If you want to change this, you'll need to edit the settings in your print window before you submit your printing job.
