Senior Lecturer

About the role 

The Department of Psychology is recruiting a Senior Lecturer to join the DClinPsy programme. 

You will cover the role of Deputy Programme Director as well as provide research supervision to the students on the programme. 

This is a leadership role, reporting to the Co-Programme Directors and will involve:

  • Leading on professional practice in the DClinPsy Programme.
  • Leading on admissions for the programme.
  • Supporting the Co-Programme Directors with the management of the DClinPsy programme team. 
  • Overseeing cohort of students and progression through clinical psychology training.
  • Contributing to specialist and general teaching topics as relevant to postholder’s expertise on postgraduate clinical psychology programmes
  • Supervising doctoral student research.

You may also take on the role of Clinical Director for the DClinPsy Programme and so previous experience in a leadership role is important.

About you

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide a supportive and positive research and teaching culture to the programme and wider department. 
  • Will have relevant experience in management or leadership roles.
  • Be committed to delivering high quality doctoral student research supervision.

Further information

This role is offered on a part-time working 21.9 hours per week (0.6FTE), fixed term basis for five years.
