About the Role
The School of Management is seeking to appoint a Data Administrator on a fixed term contract to cover an internal secondment.
The School of Management is one of the UK’s leading Business Schools, located in an impressive new building with state-of-the art resources near the city of Bath.
Our extensive offerings encompass undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes, alongside tailored executive education options for both individuals and organisations.
With a dedicated team of over 190 teaching and research professionals, complemented by a support staff of around 90 managerial and administrative experts (referred to as Professional Services, ‘PS’), we cultivate a vibrant working environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the School of Management’s Rankings & Accreditation and Alumni Relations & External Engagement teams.
The work you do will directly contribute to the School’s global reputation and strategic priorities.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Data Management & Integrity – Ensuring accurate and up-to-date data for rankings submissions, accreditation reports, and alumni engagement.
- Rankings & Accreditation Support – Managing and analysing data critical to the School’s performance in key global rankings (e.g. QS, Financial Times, EQUIS, AACSB).
- Alumni Engagement & Reporting – Supporting data collection, reporting, and analysis to enhance alumni relationships and track graduate outcomes.
- Insight & Analysis – Creating dashboards, reports, and data-driven insights to support decision-making across the School.
This role is integral to maintaining the School’s standing among top global institutions and will suit a detail-oriented individual with strong data management skills.
About You
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with strong data management skills who can support the School of Management’s Rankings & Accreditation and Alumni Relations & External Engagement teams. You will thrive in this role if you have:
- Experience in data management and analysis, with the ability to maintain accuracy and integrity in handling large datasets.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring data is correctly processed, reported, and used effectively for decision-making.
- Proficiency in using databases and CRM systems (e.g. Raiser’s Edge or equivalent), with the ability to clean, update, and manage data.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise tasks and work to multiple deadlines.
- Ability to interpret and present data in a clear and meaningful way, including the use of dashboards and reports.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders and explain data-driven insights.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, comfortable working independently and as part of a team on varied projects.
- IT proficiency, particularly in Excel and data visualisation tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) fixed term basis with an expected duration of 12 months.
