Cleaner Porter (16 Hours) (12 Months FTC)

About the role

This is a part-time position working 16 hours per week on a fixed term contract until July 2025 or the early return of the post holder. 

We are looking for a Cleaner Porter to join our supportive and friendly Campus Service's team on a on part-time basis, fixed term basis.  A typical day could include: 

  • Keeping your designated areas clean and tidy 
  • Removal, repositioning and setting up furniture 
  • Emptying general waste and recycling bins 
  • Directing visitors and dealing with general enquiries 
  • Assisting with setting up conference rooms 

This is a crucial role at the University of Bath, and we are looking for a friendly and motivated person, happy to work not only as part of a supportive and friendly team but also on their own. You will be expected to maintain an excellent level of cleanliness in order to maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment and should have a thorough and methodical attitude to work. Due to the nature of the work, you must be able to lift and carry a reasonable weight. We are open to consider a variety of flexible work options but the typical role hours are 1pm - 5pm Monday and 1pm - 4pm Tuesday to Friday. Please note your preferred work options in your application form. You will be expected to work 3 Saturdays per year, all of which, notice of at least a month's notice will be given. Time off in lieu will be given for this.
