Question : Who should I provide as my referees?

Answer :

Your referees must be able to comment on your past employment and recent work performance in relation to the post’s selection criteria. 

We request that one of the nominated referees be your most recent, direct supervisor/line manager, or, if you have just completed full-time education, the Head/Principal or Tutor. Please do not include family members or friends. 

The University policy is to contact referees PRIOR to interview for all applicants SHORTLISTED for interview.

If you would prefer us not to contact your referees prior to interview, please ensure that you tick the box on the referees' section of the application form.
