- the fund is open to all registered students at the University (undergraduates, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students)
- students must ensure that the proposed project end date falls before their graduation
- priority will be given to activities which fill a gap in current provision as determined by the Student Change Projects Operational Group
- applications will be judged on the following criteria: how realistic is the proposed project is; likely demand for the activity across the student community; and value for money
- applications will be considered by the Student Change Projects Operational Group comprising of staff from the Faculties, the Doctoral College, the Centre for Learning & Teaching, and the Students’ Union
- if applications are very similar to those received by other funding schemes or existing activities already taking place, then applicants will be signposted to those other schemes
- decisions on applications are final with no right of appeal
- successful applicant(s) will be expected to carry out the activities outlined in their proposal; a staff mentor will be allocated to support with developing the proposal
- funds can be used to pay for fees for external trainers, reasonable catering costs and materials
- funds cannot be used to pay full-time staff who are employed by the University of Bath
- funds cannot be used to remunerate the student for their time in organising the event
- successful applicants will normally be informed within three weeks after submitting an expression of interest form
- activities need to be completed within a reasonable timescale of receiving the funding, which will be agreed between the student and the staff mentor
- successful applicants will be required to contribute to project evaluation
- you may also be asked to participate in activity promoting the scheme
- retrospective applications made after the activity has commenced will not normally be considered
- candidates must acknowledge the Student Change Projects scheme in any communications about the proposed activity.
