Peter Swann Business Analyst, Department of Planning, Performance and Strategic Change

Member of the doctoral coaching network.

Role

Peter’s role as Business Analyst is within the Planning, Performance and Strategic Change department. A key part of his role is in delivering projects of change through building rapport with stakeholders, documenting requirements while supporting individuals and teams through the process of change.

Similarly with coaching, the focus is on actively listening to, and helping to clearly articulate what the issues are, then providing support and tools in bridging the gap between where people are now and where they wish to be. Sometimes only a light touch is needed, and other times there’s a need to challenge those limiting beliefs which may be hindering progress.

His approach to coaching is compassionate, person-centred, and focused around useful shifts in perspectives; viewing the individual as having everything they need to effect positive change and succeed. His view is that it’s about clearing a path towards clarity of thought, language, and actions.
