Jason Edwards Business Partnerships and Knowledge Exchange Manager
Providing advice and guidance to academics on business-led research for the School of Management.
Role
Jason is responsible for establishing and managing partnerships between academics and companies. His role includes:
- facilitating relationships with business
- identifying and promoting funding opportunities, including Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and other Innovate UK schemes
- supporting the process of securing business funding
- overseeing business partnerships when funded

Career
Prior to this role, Jason worked in funding development for three years, where he supported research applications. He has helped researchers gain funding from Research Councils, European Commission, charities and from industry. Jason’s research background is in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
Education
Jason has a First Class Honours degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Glamorgan. He also received the Jordan Vincent Allen award for the most outstanding student in Criminology and Criminal Justice. He holds an award in Improving Personal and Organisational Performance.
