Ian Blenkharn University Secretary & Registrar
Ian is responsible for the operation of educational and student services as well as University governance, risk and compliance.

- the Careers Service
- Student Support & Safeguarding

- Compliance, Risk and Information Governance
- Legal Services
Career
Ian has worked almost exclusively within the Higher Education Sector, following a short period working in Further Education, post-graduation. He has worked at the University of Bristol where he led undergraduate recruitment and widening participation teams before moving to the University of Exeter in 2010. Ian held a variety of roles at Exeter during his twelve years there, initially heading up admissions and leaving as Director of Education and Student Experience. Ian joined Bath in 2022 as Director or Education and Student Services, before being appointed University Secretary and Registrar in 2025.
