The International Relations Office is now inviting bids for University of Bath - FAPESP SPRINT international research funding. The São Paulo State Research Foundation (FAPESP) is a Brazilian public foundation with the mission to support higher education and research institutions across all fields of knowledge.

The invitation is open to researchers affiliated with the University of Bath for projects with partners at research institutions in the State of São Paulo. To be eligible, the collaborating PI will have to be responsible for current FAPESP Research Grants and be concurrently applying to the SPRINT call.

The FAPESP-SPRINT award provides seed funding for improving ongoing research projects and collaborative research at the initial project stage in all fields of knowledge. You can apply for an amount of up to £5,000 per year, for projects running for a maximum of two years. The University has set aside funding for up to eight such proposals a year. Funding for the partner researcher is matched by FAPESP.

You do not need to have established links to be eligible for this call. Visit the FAPESP website for application guidance and to find potential collaborators.

This is the second call of the 2023/24 academic year and the deadline for applications is Monday 24 June 2024.
