The MyWorld Scholarship aims to support home fee-paying students who are from under-represented groups in Higher Education to access taught postgraduate study linked to the creative technologies industry. This scholarship includes courses at the University of Bristol, Bath Spa University, University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) and the University of Bath. Funding available

Successful applicants will receive £5,000 towards their 2024/25 tuition fees and be invited to the MyWorld Scholars programme.

Eligibility criteria

In order to apply for this scholarship, you must also meet the below criteria.


In order to apply for this scholarship you must:

  • be considered as a UK student and eligible for Home fee status
  • be holding an offer for one of the above eligible courses for the 2024/25 academic year

The MyWorld Scholarship is aimed at supporting students who are under-represented in Higher Education. You must also be from at least one of the following groups to be eligible for this scholarship:

  • Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups including Asian or Asian British, Black, Black British, Caribbean or African, or other minority group
  • mature students – over 25 years of age at the beginning of their postgraduate studies
  • students from areas of low higher education participation or a low household income or low socioeconomic status
  • disabled students – Under the Equality Act 2010, a person has a disability “if they have a physical or mental impairment, and the impairment has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on his or her ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities”
  • care leavers and looked after children – all those who have experienced care at any stage of their lives

Applications for these awards can be made directly via the MyWorld website.

You will need to answer a number of questions on your motivations for applying for the scholarship and studying your chosen master's course as part of the application.

All applications must have been completed and submitted via the online application form by 09:00 on 8 August 2024.
