The committee is responsible for considering and determining appeals from individual members of staff against decisions made in relation to their appointment or progression by the:
- Academic Staff Committee
- Teaching Fellow Sub-Group (of the Academic Staff Committee)
Membership
- a lay member of Council (Chair)
- a Dean of Faculty or Head of School (or a former Dean of Faculty or former Head of School) other than that of the appellant
- a member of Senate
- the Chair of Academic Assembly or a former Chair of Academic Assembly if the current Chair has a conflict of interest
Routine attendees
The Director of Human Resources or their nominee.
Meetings
The Committee will be convened as required.
