Book an appointment to speak with a member of Student Support

Our teams are available to support you and navigate through any challenges you may be facing as a student. They offer confidential advice and practical guidance on wellbeing, mental health, disability, academic adjustments, money management, and more.

Student Support Advice

If you are feeling worried or upset about anything, the Student Support Advice Team is here to support you. We provide practical support and advice, and can help you access a range of services.

To see a Student Support Advisor you can:

  • visit the Student Support centre in 4 West and ask to speak to an Advisor, they are available weekdays from 9am-5pm
  • you can complete this form to help identify the best information and support for you
  • you can also call to request to speak to an advisor on 01225 383838, who will call you back within 24 hours or the next working day
  • you can email us at studentsupport@bath.ac.uk with an outline of what your issue is, and we can call you back within 24 hours or the next working day

Disability Service

Our Disability Service supports students with disabilities, long-term health conditions, mental health conditions, and neurodivergence. We can create a Disability Access Plan (DAP), recommend reasonable adjustments, and guide you through applying for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).

Money Advice

The Money Advice Team can support you with any financial difficulties you may be experiencing and offer practical support. This may include financial hardship, managing your money, or struggling to afford basic living expenses such as rent and food.

To book an appointment with a Money Advisor:

  • book a short drop in session or an appointment via MySkills
  • call the Student Support Helpdesk on 01225 383838
  • email studentsupport@bath.ac.uk to request an appointment

Mental Health and Wellbeing

Mental Health and Wellbeing offer practical, and solution focused support. It helps you build coping skills, create a personalised support plan, and manage academic or social challenges.

To book an appointment:

  • you can drop in to speak with the Student Support Advice Team at the 4 West Roper Centre (open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) who can make a referral if appropriate
  • complete our online form to find the best support for you
  • call the Student Support Helpdesk on 01225 383838
  • email studentsupport@bath.ac.uk to request an appointment

Therapeutic Service

Our Therapeutic Service offers up to six one-to-one counselling sessions in a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly with a qualified counsellor.

To speak to a counsellor you can:

  • drop in to speak with the Student Support Advice Team at the 4 West Roper Centre (open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) who can make a referral if appropriate
  • complete our online form to find the best support for you

Sexual Violence and Domestic Abuse Response Service

If you have experienced sexual violence, sexual harassment, or domestic abuse, recently or in the past, our specialist team of practitioners are available to offer support and advice to help you to make informed choices about your options and to get the support you need.

To access support from the Sexual Violence and Domestic Abuse Response Service:

  • drop in to speak with the Student Support Advice Team at the 4 West Roper Centre (open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) who can make a referral if appropriate
  • you can submit a report to the University via the Support & Report tool a specialist member of Student Support and Safeguarding staff will contact you to discuss options, which might include a referral to SVDARS

The Sexual Violence and Domestic Abuse Response service offer trauma informed, person centred support.

International Support Service

International Support can provide practical advice and information about living in Bath and the UK and signpost you to other specialist services.
