Thank you to everyone who completed the first cyber security bite-size training course on the MetaCompliance platform.

There have been some excellent levels of participation in departments - the Student Immigration Service, Careers Service, Centre for Learning and Teaching, Dental Centre and Communications are among the star performers.

Higher Education was subject to the largest proportion of attacks within the sector between April and June, and ‘remains of increasing interest to Threat Actors.’ So it's important we are all aware of how to work smart and stay safe.

The next course, out w/c 22 July, covers ‘clear desk, locked screen’ - understanding the risks and putting safeguards in place.

As with every course, this should take fewer than 10 minutes of your time.

You will receive an email from no-reply@metacompliance.com with the subject line starting “Cyber spotlight series” and the course title ‘Desk and Screen Defences’.

Please log in with your university username and password to access the course.

If you were unable to complete the last course on Hybrid and Remote Working - and Trusted Roles if you work with information classed as Highly Restricted - these will be available in your ‘Training’ area when you log in to MetaCompliance where you can revisit previously completed courses or catch up on incomplete courses.

The Cyber Security team is also here to support you, so please do reach out if you have any questions or feedback by emailing cyber@bath.ac.uk. If you see suspicious activity or suspect a cyber attack, email reportabreach@bath.ac.uk.
