About this study

Body image refers to how you think and feel about your weight, shape, or appearance. Evidence suggests mindfulness can help improve body image.


We are testing a new digital mindfulness programme being developed by researchers at the University of Bath. This study aims to explore how it can help improve people's body image and mood.

What you'll get for taking part

Eligibility

You can take part if you're aged between 16 and 35.

Body image concerns are common across all ages, genders, and sexual identities, so we're keen to get a broad range of views

What you'll do

In this fully online study, you will gain access to a digital mindfulness programme designed to improve body image and mood.

It includes nine mini-modules (these take approximately 10 minutes each to complete), and you will have access for three weeks.

You will complete surveys before, after, and one month later, and receive £20 in Amazon vouchers for completing them.

Your data

Your data will be treated confidentially, stored securely, anonymised after two weeks, and may then be shared or archived for future research.

Ethics approval

This study has been approved by the University of Bath Research Ethics Committee (Ref: 6813-9587).
