We are recruiting for casual roles from June to September. You can earn from £14.12 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.

Be part of our accommodation cleaning team


Our friendly accommodation team has domestic cleaner roles on campus and in central Bath. These are available if you can work for three months or just two weeks.

We have shifts from early June to late September. Hours may fluctuate, depending on business needs.

Full training is provided. Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning accommodation areas
  • Reporting maintenance requirements
  • Ensuring health and safety guidance is followed
  • Acting as the face of the department and engaging with visitors

We offer flexible shifts, just advise us of your availability on the application form.

Shifts are Monday to Sunday, with weekend working on a rota basis. Working hours are between 9am and 5:20pm.

These day time shifts are ideal for those wanting to keep summer evenings free.

Join our Hospitality team


Casual roles available this summer in our food outlets at our Claverton Down campus include:

  • Kitchen Porter / General Assistant – you'll be putting away deliveries, washing up, cleaning and occasionally helping commis chefs with kitchen duties
  • Food and Beverage Assistant – we’re looking for people with customer service experience. The role involves serving customers and supporting with cleaning up where required

We offer full training and no split shifts.

There are a variety of shifts available seven days a week, starting from 6.30am up to midnight. You can tell us about your availability on the application form.

Hours may fluctuate, depending on business needs.

Accommodation reception and office roles


If you have customer service experience, attention to detail and good organisational skills, then our reception and administration roles are great opportunity for you.

You'll join our supportive team to fulfil one of our casual summer roles:

  • Receptions Assistants
  • Receptions Supervisors
  • Reservations Assistants
  • Student Accommodation Allocations Assistants
  • Event Operations Assistants

We would need you to work for the full three months, from early June to late September, due to the training provided. Hours may fluctuate, depending on business needs.

Our shifts cover a seven days period, so some weekend working is required. The earliest shifts start at 7am, with the latest finishing at 10pm.

These roles welcome and assist visitors who stay at our campus in the summer for leisure visits, conferences and summer schools.

Become a ResLife Ambassador


If you’re an enthusiastic, motivated, and outgoing individual who enjoys working creatively, this is the role for you.

We’re looking for returning undergraduate or postgraduate student who have experience living in Bath and ideally within our university halls. You should have excellent customer service skills, be confident in interacting with people regularly, and be comfortable in a front-facing role.

You’ll join our supportive team in one of the following positions:

  • ResLife Ambassador
  • ResLife Inclusion Champion
  • Senior ResLife Ambassador

This is a casual position running from August 2025 to June 2026, and we ask that you commit to the role for the academic year.

The role offers flexibility, so it can easily fit around other summer work, study, or personal commitments.

You can expect to work around 6 hours per week throughout the academic year.

Private Accommodation Support

Our private accommodation team is seeking some extra help from June to September.


The role is on a casual basis with flexible hours as and when required. Weekend work may necessary.

Shift allocations vary each week, and you will experience busier and quieter weeks.

The hours of work are 10am to 4pm, with a minimum of two days per week (11 hours) and maximum five days per week (27.5 hours).

Experience with Microsoft tools such as Power Automate preferred, but not essential.

The main duties are:

  • Answering phone calls
  • Responding to emails
  • Facilitating meetings with students
  • Editing the Private Accommodation site, Studentpad
  • Liaising with landlords regarding student references
  • Aiding students searching for accommodation
  • Supporting the creation of innovative private housing support tools
