Undergraduate Scholarship and Bursary payment dates if you commenced your studies before 2024

Find out when you will receive your university funding if you commenced your studies before September 2024.

Please note: As a result of the new Access and Participation Plan payment date and structure will vary dependent on when you joined Bath.

Please refer to the these payment dates if you joined the University of Bath after September 2024.

Bath Bursary, Gold Scholarship and Corporate/Donor-Funded Scholarships

Bath Bursary

Bath Bursary recipients who began their studies before 2024/5 will receive £3,000 cash split equally1 across each academic year2

  • Wednesday 4th December 2024
  • Wednesday 12th February 2025
  • Wednesday 23rd April 2025

Gold Scholarship

Gold scholars who began their studies before 2024/5 receive £5,000 cash split equally1 across each academic year2

  • Wednesday 4th December 2024
  • Wednesday 12th February 2025
  • Wednesday 23rd April 2025

Corporate/Donor-Funded Scholarships

Corporate/donor-funded scholars will receive funding split equally1 on:

  • Wednesday 4th December 2024
  • Wednesday 12th February 2025
  • Wednesday 23rd April 2025

Placement Bursary

The Placement Bursary, worth either £2000 or £1000 dependent on the type of unpaid placement you are taking, will be paid as a lump sum alongside your December Bath Bursary or Gold Scholarship instalment.

Payment method

All payments are made via direct bank transfer. Changes to bank details can be made through your Student SAMIS account at any time but will need to be made at least two weeks before a payment date to take effect.
