Infographic to showcase benefits of delivering research in the wider health and community setting

Infographic was developed to showcase the benefits of delivering commercial research in the wider health and community setting.

The Clinical Research Network (CRN) West of England has developed an infographic that showcases the advantages of delivering commercial research in in the wider health and community setting; including GP practices, hospices and memory clinics.

The idea originated from the Commercial Continuous Improvement Group which consists of members from primary care, secondary care, and the CRN. The group works collaboratively to ensure the West of England region is high performing in the delivery of commercial research.

The wider health and community setting offers a great opportunity for commercial sponsors to reach patient populations and provide access to research. The group felt it was important to showcase this.

In the West of England, there are a large number of research active sites and many more with the ambition to become more research active.

The infographic highlights the advantages of delivering studies in the wider health and community setting. Enabling more commercial research in this setting will improve the diversity and inclusion of recruitment populations and increase the standard of care delivered to patients.

A large proportion of interactions with health and care happen in this setting, so enabling more research in this setting will widen the opportunity for patients and the public to participate in health and care research.
