Identities, Communities and Wellbeing Research Group

We research contemporary societal issues that affect the wellbeing of individuals and communities.

What is the Identities, Communities and Wellbeing Research Group?

Our Research Group explores a range of contemporary and emerging topic areas that influence people’s sense of identity, health and wellbeing. We are interested in these factors at individual, group, and societal levels.

We focus on:

  • social and environmental sustainability
  • social media and digital identities
  • social and economic participation
  • inclusion and exclusion

We value qualitative and quantitative approaches, and exploring new methods to address real world problems.

We are particularly interested in meanings and experiences of communities, and conducting research that is co-produced, interdisciplinary, and cross-cultural.
