Nic Streatfield will take up the role of Director of Student Support and Safeguarding, previously held by Alice Ludgate.

Nic joins us from the University of York where he is currently Director of Student Life and Wellbeing. Prior to this, Nic was Deputy Director of Student Services at the University of East London.

Nic has a wealth of experience in the HE sector and is a University Mental Health Charter Assessor. He also served on the Executive Board of AMOSSHE (the association for Student Services professionals in HE) between 2015 and 2022.

Cassie Wilson, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience) said:

We are delighted to be welcoming Nic to the University of Bath ahead of the 2024/25 academic year. This is a hugely important role for the University, given our continued focus on delivering the highest quality experience for our students. We are excited about the new insights Nic will bring to the University from his extensive experience within HE, both at an institutional level and on a regional and national scale.

Supporting students, and those who support them, is a passion of mine undiminished over my twenty plus years working in the HE sector. I am really looking forward to taking up my new role and working alongside dedicated colleagues to continue to improve the student experience.

Nic will be working closely with Cassie Wilson on developing the student experience at the University of Bath.
