Dear colleagues,

I’m writing to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to support our June Open Days. The events were a resounding success, despite the weather, as a result of your dedication and hard work.

We heard so many positive comments from our prospective students and their families and guests, who remarked on how well-organised and engaging the event was. It was a busy couple of days with over 23,000 visitors, and your efforts were truly appreciated.

We know from student feedback how critical these events are for ensuring that we recruit the very best students and maintain our hard-won reputation for offering the highest quality learning, teaching and student experience.

Each of you played a crucial role in ensuring that our guests had a memorable and informative experience. From setting up and helping our campus to look its best, welcoming visitors to campus, helping at the talks or presenting to students, leading a tour, or working at the Information Fair stalls, your contribution is much appreciated.

Ensuring these events run smoothly requires a great deal of work, and it truly is a team effort. Your professionalism, enthusiasm, and teamwork were evident throughout the preparations and the Open Days. It is this level of commitment that makes Bath such a welcoming and inspiring place.

I must particularly thank our colleagues in Campus Infrastructure and Campus Services, as well as the Faculties, School and our departments, the events team and our many student ambassadors. I’d also like to thank those staff who responded to our call for more volunteers: we couldn’t run the events without you.

If you have any feedback about the Open Days, we would be really pleased to hear from you. Please email the events team with any comments.

With thanks once again and best wishes,

Professor Julian Chaudhuri
