Students must select units worth 30 credits from one of the following two subject pathways in addition to taking SC22002 (Natural Sciences portfolio 2) and CH22008 (Fundamental concepts of chemistry) which are compulsory regardless of which pathway is chosen:
Chemistry and Pharmacology pathway- Compulsory units: SL22051 Central nervous system pharmacology, SL22052 Drug discovery and experimental pharmacology (5 credits) and SL22138 Immunity and immunotherapy (10 credits);
- 10 credits from the lists of options (NB. students taking units running in S1 and S2 must take both units in the same subject area - e.g. two Mathematical Sciences units, or two Management units).
Chemistry and Environment pathway- Compulsory unit: SC22003 Environmental science and sustainability (10 credits);
- 20 credits from the lists of options (NB. students taking units running in S1 and S2 must take both units in the same subject area - e.g. two Mathematical Sciences units, or two Management units).
