October marks Black History Month in the UK, and where teams across University host a range of activities, events and seminars.
The reports were co-sponsored by Professor Phil Taylor (Vice Chancellor).
A team led by Dr Teslim Bukoye is working to deliver on accreditation by July 2026. The REC team includes academics and professional services staff and represents a diverse range of experiences and personal characteristics, with a focus on ethnicity and its intersection with gender, sexuality, and disability. The team draws on surveys, focus groups, and institutional data covering all areas and levels of the university including recruitment, experience, and progression of staff and students.
