Centre for the study of Education in an International Context (CEIC)
International Baccalaureate Research Team (IBRT)
The International Baccalaureate Research Team is located within the Department of Education and shares research interests with CEIC. The International Baccalaureate Research Team was established in May 2000 to develop and support research into the IB programmes and international education. The research team takes part in research projects, collaborates with universities and international agencies, and disseminates research findings in international publications. The Research Team develops links with researchers into international education worldwide, and supports research through a dedicated section on the IB website.
One of the Research Team’s services, the International Education Research
Database (IERD), is a free bibliographic resource for the international education
community. It can be accessed at http://research.ibo.org or from the main
International Baccalaureate homepage. It aims to:
1. Define the field of international education.
2. Offer a valuable resource to a wide range of researchers.
By registering, users can save and email their searches and be named as IERD
contributors if they submit new citations.
